PresidentBorn and raised in southwestern Manitoba, Garnet grew up with a keen interest in the business side of the agriculture industry. Diversifying that knowledge and experience in other directions, and giving recognition to his lifelong entrepreneurial desire, it soon became clear that Garnet’s vocation was in public practice. In 2007, drawing on the experiences of a lengthy career in accounting and an acute understanding of business operations, finance and management, Garnet launched Venture Accounting Group Ltd. What began as a part-time, home-based firm quickly became a full-time career, and his firm and his team have become one of the best options in southern Manitoba for full-service bookkeeping, payroll, consulting and controllership and business planning and analysis services. Garnet has a passionate interest in entrepreneurship, and working with entrepreneurs with new and unique business ideas. Garnet is the brain of our organization. Ginger H.
Director of LearningBorn and raised in southwestern Manitoba, Ginger loves small towns and rural life. She was recognized in the community as a contact lens fitter and licensed optician for over a decade. Ginger’s commitment to serve the public is resolute and, equipped with a multitude of transferable skills, she passionately tackles financial challenges for a wide variety of clients. Ginger joined Venture Accounting Group Ltd. in 2011, initially on a part-time basis, and then in 2014 assuming her full time role. Ginger excels at inventory management, fixed asset management and in particular, process development. She works with clients across industry sectors, including security, telecommunications, manufacturing and non-profit organizations. Ginger takes pride in assisting business owners with customized financial work plans centered on accuracy and efficiency. Ginger is the heart of our organization. She has a completely infectious personality and her empathy, kindness, and sense of humor foster an engaging office environment. Fun fact about Ginger, she is a Super Mom of three children and a social butterfly.
Courtney C.
Director of Payroll ServicesCourtney was born and raised in Brandon, MB. She started with Venture Accounting Group Ltd. in 2020 as a Client Representative, from there she found a love for the payroll world. Courtney spent two years completing her Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation through the National Payroll Institute. In 2022, Courtney became the Director of Payroll Services and joined the Leadership Team. Courtney excels at payroll reconciliations, collaborating with Human Resources, and Provincial and Federal Legislation. She loves building connections with her coworkers and her clients. Courtney is very organized, hardworking, and will give you the shirt off her back if needed. She loves to travel and explore new places and cultures. She is passionate and under the spell of her two cats, Gus & Ivy.
Brandee F.
Accounting TechnicianBrandee was born in Brandon and spent her childhood in northern Manitoba. She was first introduced into the accounting world by her sister, our very own Ginger. While working alongside her sister she developed a passion for the bookkeeping disciplines. She loves the satisfaction of finding complex problems and working her way through them. Brandee is very creative, hardworking, diligent, and eager to help. We are so happy to have had her cheerful and vibrant demeanour in each of our departments. She loves to sing, play all six of her instruments, and even teach others to play guitar.

Accounting TechnicianAnge was born and raised in the Westman community. Her kind-hearted nature shines through everything she does. Ange has always been in the Customer/Client-based industry, so her passion for helping others has benefited all of us in her eagerness to assist anyone in any way she can. She values our integrity and honesty and enjoys building trust-based, open communicative relationships in our little community. Fun fact about Ange, she is a Crafting Queen.

Accounting TechnicianShayla was born and raised in Brandon, MB. Shayla first started in the bookkeeping field as an administrative assistant at her dad's business. From here, Shayla gained interest in how businesses function and enrolled in school at Assiniboine Community College to get her business administration diploma. Shayla graduated in 2023 with a diploma in Business Administration Human Resource Management. Shayla has spent the last few years part-time with Venture Accounting Group Ltd. gaining knowledge and skills regarding bookkeeping, payroll processes and controller functions. She loves being in nature and surrounded by friends and family.
Lisa F.
Accounting TechnicianLisa was educated at Herzing College where she received her Administrative Assistant Diploma. Lisa has been working in the accounting field for 20+ years. She has spent the last few years full time with Venture Accounting Group Ltd. gaining knowledge and skills regarding bookkeeping and controllership functions. Lisa cares deeply for her loved ones, her co-workers, and her clients. She loves taking life slow and enjoying all the sweet aspects of life.

Accounting TechnicianAngie has called Brandon home since 1993. Angie moved to Brandon from Winnipeg in support of her husband’s business. Angie graduated with Business Accountancy from Red River College. She has been a bookkeeper for various construction companies, using various accounting programs. She just recently started working with Venture as of February 2023 because she was missing the financial side of a business. She loves the challenge of figuring things out when different issues arise. She loves golfing, hiking, walking with her two daughters, her husband, and their dog Gracie.

Payroll Compliance PractitionerEmma was born and raised on a farm north of Dauphin, MB. She moved to Brandon to attend ACC to get her Business Administration Human Resources Diploma. She was introduced to the financial world after taking on the accounting position at a start up company. She quickly grew a love for the organization and the problematic parts of accounting. She is currently taking her Bookkeeping Certification at ACC. Her passion is to travel, and her dream is to see the world!
